The short version: Turn is designed to be playable without an account. All gameplay data is stored on your device first. If you choose to sign in with Google, your email address and display name are used to enable cloud save and daily leaderboards. We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand app usage and fix crashes. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
How to Delete Your Account and Data
If you have signed in with Google and want your cloud data deleted, you can request account deletion at any time:
- Open Turn and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account in the Account section.
- Confirm — a pre-filled email to littlebridge.team@gmail.com will open. Send it and we will process your deletion within 30 days.
You can also email us directly at littlebridge.team@gmail.com with the subject "Turn — Account deletion request."
What gets deleted:
- Your cloud save data stored in Firebase Firestore (game progress, settings, custom levels, statistics, achievements, daily puzzle results, endless mode state).
- Your daily leaderboard entries (display name, move count, star rating).
- Your Firebase Authentication account.
What is kept (and for how long):
- Analytics data retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months (Google's standard retention). This data is not tied to your account after deletion.
- Crash reports retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days. If your Firebase user ID was attached to a crash report, it can no longer be linked back to you once your account is deleted.
Delete on-device data without deleting your account: You can use Reset Progress in Settings at any time to permanently erase all gameplay data stored on your device, without affecting your cloud save or account. Uninstalling the App also removes all on-device data.
After account deletion you can continue playing Turn as a guest — all gameplay remains available offline without signing in.
Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
If you choose to sign in with Google, the App receives from Google:
- Email address — associated with your Google account.
- Display name — your public Google profile name.
- A unique Google ID token — used only to authenticate you with Firebase; not stored beyond the authentication session.
- Firebase user ID — a stable, pseudonymous identifier created by Firebase Authentication when you sign in. It is used as the key for your cloud save data, to identify your daily-leaderboard entries, and (if you are signed in) to correlate crash reports. It is not your email address and does not by itself reveal your identity.
Signing in is optional. You can play the entire game without ever signing in. When you do not sign in, no personal information is collected.
1.2 Information generated by your use of the App
The following data is generated and stored on your device using Android's DataStore:
- Game progress — completed levels, best move counts, star ratings, and replay sequences.
- Unlock state — which levels and worlds you have unlocked, and skip tokens earned.
- Settings — your sound, haptics (vibration), daily-reminder, and language preferences.
- Custom levels — any custom puzzle levels you create within the App.
- Statistics — aggregate gameplay stats such as total levels completed and perfect solutions.
- Achievements — which in-app achievements you have unlocked.
- Daily puzzle results — your solve status and best moves for each daily puzzle.
- Endless mode state — your endless-mode progress and high scores.
1.3 Analytics and crash reporting
The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, level starts, wins, fails, and hint usage. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect device information (model, OS version, language) and approximate location (country-level) as part of its standard data collection. See Firebase Privacy.
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the App unexpectedly stops or encounters an error. Crash reports include device information, app version, and a stack trace. If you are signed in, your Firebase user ID is attached to crash reports to help us diagnose issues. No email address or display name is included in crash reports.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics rely on Firebase Installations, which generates a per-installation identifier (the Firebase Installation ID) on your device. This identifier lets Firebase attribute analytics events and crash reports to a single app installation and manage SDK configuration. It is not tied to your Google account or email address, and it is reset when you clear the App's data or uninstall it. See Firebase Privacy.
A small, bounded log of gameplay events is also stored in an on-device ring buffer (capped at 100 entries) for development and debugging. This local log is not transmitted anywhere and is cleared when you reset progress or uninstall the App.
Cloud Sync and Leaderboards
If you sign in with Google, the on-device data listed in section 1.2 is encrypted in transit and synced to Google Firebase Firestore so that your progress follows you across devices. The synced data is stored under a document path keyed to your authenticated Firebase user ID, and only you can read or write your own sync data.
In addition, the following information is stored in Firestore and is visible to other signed-in players:
- Daily leaderboard — your display name, move count, and star rating for each daily puzzle, shown on the daily leaderboard to other authenticated players.
Community levels (sharing custom puzzles with other players) are not available in this version of the App. If community features are introduced in a future update, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe them before they become available.
Permissions Used
The App requests the following Android permissions:
- INTERNET — required to reach Firebase for sign-in, cloud sync, leaderboards, analytics, and crash reporting.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — used, only if you enable daily reminders in Settings, to send a once-daily reminder notification and an optional streak-saver nudge. Notifications are never sent unless you turn this on.
- VIBRATE — used to provide haptic feedback during gameplay. This does not involve any data collection or transmission.
The App also receives the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission automatically via Firebase SDKs to determine whether a network connection is available.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only situations in which your data is shared are:
- With Google Firebase — to provide authentication, cloud storage, leaderboards, community features, analytics, and crash reporting. Firebase processes this data as a processor on our behalf under Google's terms. See Firebase Privacy.
- With other players — your display name and daily-puzzle scores are visible on the daily leaderboard to other signed-in players, as described in section 2.
We do not share data with any advertising networks, data brokers, or other third parties.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Authentication — for Google Sign-In. Privacy
- Firebase Firestore — for cloud save and leaderboards. Privacy
- Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics. Privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics — for crash reporting. Privacy
- Firebase Installations — provides a per-installation identifier used by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. Privacy
- Google Play services / Credential Manager — for the Google Sign-In button. Privacy
The App does not use:
- Advertising SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob)
- Social media integrations other than Google Sign-In
Data Security
Data synced to Firebase Firestore is encrypted in transit using TLS and is protected by Firestore security rules that restrict each user's sync data to their own authenticated account. Analytics and crash data is transmitted to Firebase over encrypted connections. On-device data is as secure as your device itself.
Data Retention
- On-device data is retained only for as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App or using "Reset Progress" in Settings permanently removes it.
- Cloud sync data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion by contacting us or using the "Delete account" option in Settings, and we will process it within 30 days.
- Leaderboard entries are retained per daily puzzle. You may request deletion by contacting us, and we will process it within 30 days.
- Analytics data is retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months, per Google's standard retention policy.
- Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — sign in to view your synced progress and leaderboard entries within the App.
- Delete — use "Reset Progress" in Settings to clear on-device data; use "Delete account" in Settings to request deletion of your cloud data (processed within 30 days); or contact us to delete your cloud sync data and leaderboard entries.

If you are a resident of the European Union (GDPR), the United Kingdom, or California (CCPA), you have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email in section 12.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. Because the App offers Google Sign-In and collects analytics data, it is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in with a Google account, please contact us so we can delete that data. Gameplay without signing in does not collect personal information and is suitable for all ages.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
International Users
If you sign in or use the App online, your synced data, leaderboard entries, analytics, and crash reports are processed by Google Firebase, which may transfer and store data in regions outside your country of residence. By using the cloud features, you consent to this transfer. Firebase's data transfer practices are described in Firebase Privacy. If you do not sign in, no personal data leaves your device.
